Primrose Day Centre is a registered charity at the heart of the Ormiston and Pencaitland community, located within Ormiston Community Centre. We are dedicated to supporting elderly and vulnerable people—especially those living with dementia, mobility challenges or other health issues—by providing a safe, welcoming and caring environment.
Open Monday to Friday
Qualified, compassionate staff and volunteers
Members are charged a nominal daily fee
Specially adapted bus transport
Nutritious lunch, teas/coffees and snacks provided daily
Enriching activities, therapies, excursions and entertainment
Excellent facilities: lounge, dining room, kitchen, adapted toilets, and a beautiful outdoor garden area
Unique trishaw rides around the village
Our members benefit from a lively and supportive community where they can socialise, enjoy stimulating activities, and receive the care they deserve.
Core funding for our Day Centre is provided through East Lothian’s Health and Social Care Partnership but rising costs and ever-tightening budgets are now making the Day Centre’s future look increasingly unsustainable. The cost of transport alone has recently risen to over £40,000 per year and it is contributions towards this expense that we are seeking through your support.
We cannot lose the valuable service provided by Primrose Day Centre – who knows when we might need it for ourselves, a member of our family, a friend or a neighbour?
Would you consider becoming a ‘Friend of Primrose Day Centre’ for an annual donation of just £25? If this is too much, all donations are welcome – large and small – and, if you agree, we can claim Gift Aid on your donation if you pay UK income tax.
You can help by becoming a ‘Friend of Primrose Day Centre’ by making an annual donation of £25 or by making a one-off donation of any amount. Just click the link below to make a donation – thank you very much for your support.
